Headboards Galore Revamp

A new site in anticipation of a new sales drive.

After a couple of last minute tweaks, the new Headboards Galore web-site is unveiled today, boasting a new hidden database page-builder and revised streamlined ordering pages. Whilst at the same time maintaining the original look and feel much to the satisfaction on Richard Porter the site owner.

The ongoing saga of two intrepid Kiwi's trying to get home, overland!

To Songpan
We are in Songpan which is completely diabolical, even the monitor we are looking at is covered in dirt that is impossible to wipe off with a piece of toilet paper. Every single road in the whole town is under major construction, in the process of being dug up, with open drains everywhere to be fallen into by the walker. You have to walk over long planks over gaping holes in the ground to get into shops and everywhere is mud.

We left the big city of Xi'an on another night train bound for Lanzhou, then on our arrival at 6am we got in a taxi straight from the train station to the bus station (we heard Lanzhou was a bit of a dump so decided to skip it). More >>

Benjamin Paul arrives!

A little late but this little man weighed in at 9lb 3oz.

Congrats to Mum who has waited so patiently for Benjamin's arrival having been with him for so long. And to Dad, who will be at home busy looking after them for the next week or two.

October 20th

Paul's Return

Paul Maidment, from Woking! recently deported to South Africa by his church for 3 weeks

Whilst in South Africa the 'forced labour' he endured, included the painting of a mural and decorating a classroom of a school in the township of Mlandwi and helping to run a kids club and some building work. More >>
